The Trainee Accountant Society of the Western Cape (TAS) is a subcommittee of SAICA and our members are trainee accountants currently serving training contracts with Registered Training Offices and Approved Training Organisations.

Our main aim is to promote the integration of trainees on all levels and spectrums of the industry. We host social functions on a monthly basis, encouraging interaction of trainees from the firms in the Western Cape. We are also geared to help provide a platform for trainee accountants to pose questions to SAICA, via our website and at our social functions. Events for 2010 could include:

• Yacht trip from the V&A Waterfront
• Open air bus tour
• Soccer Tournament during Federations Cup
• Winter school (weekend away at Caledon Spa)
• Wine/Whiskey tasting
• Golf day
• The Amazing Race
• Motivational talks held in conjunction with ABASA
