2009 Goals:
Transformation of TAS in conjunction with ABASA
Membership of TAS, in line with SAICA's promotion of the CA(SA) brand, specifically encouraging Trainee Accountants at smaller firms; to join the society and attend the organised events
Website Usage, including implementation of online booking of events
Feedback and Advice, by development of a discussion forum for Trainee Accountants on our website, also to utilise the TAS Committee as a conduit to SAICA

Our members are:
from a pool of approximately 3000 trainees accountants under training contracts in and out of public practice (TIPP/TOPP), in the Western Cape. Of these 1000 are member's of the Trainee Accountant Society.

Objectives:
To establish an association for all trainee accountants and in particular, to encourage a companionship and understanding among members.
To protect the rights and further the interests of such members.
To provide opportunities for members to meet socially.
To encourage members to participate in charitable activities.
To broaden the outlook of members in the fields of accounting and allied disciplines.
To perform functions delegated by the Southern Region Council.
To do all such things as may from time to time be necessary for the fulfilment of the above objectives.
